The ACE team comprises a Director and two programme specialists who oversee the program. They are supported by two occupational therapists and a speech therapists. Each classroom has a lead teacher, eight case managers, and two para-professionals.
The Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the ACE programme, including student plans, teacher training, quality and performance of staff, parent interactions, and day-to-day functioning.
The programme specialists at ACE are Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) with five or more years of experience in the field of autism. Each programme specialist oversees 2-3 classrooms
They assess programme plans, teacher implementation, data collection, and student management on a regular basis. The lead teacher of each classroom reports to, and takes curriculum advice from, the designated programme specialist.
There is one lead teacher for each classroom, who is responsible for the students and teachers of that particular class. The lead has a Master’s degree in education and a minimum
of 2−3 years of experience in the field of autism. The leads will be directly involved in implementing therapy for the students, as well as overseeing the case managers. The lead will also be responsible for creating IEPs (Individualised Educational Programmes) in collaboration with the case managers, and will observe and measure progress for the entire classroom.
Every classroom has eight case managers, each of whom is responsible for the case management of a student. The case managers work under the direct supervision of the lead teacher
and programme specialists while maintaining and reporting progress of the designated students. Case managers are graduates in education or a related field.
